Spice Jar Organization for a Tidy and Functional Kitchen

Some times the small little projects can make a huge impact.  A perfect spring cleaning project to get one area in your kitchen organized is to go through the dreaded spice cabinet!  It never fails, you will have multiple bottles of the same thing because this area is never put together.  Meaning nothing is found when needed.  The small task of getting clear jars to coordinate all of your spices into matching jars with labels is a small task that will make a huge impact.

One thing you will need to do is empty out a drawer.  I chose to use the one that is directly below my stovetop so that they were easily accessible while cooking.  This is also how you will be able to have them all easily visualized within one area.  I picked up these clear jars and drawer organizers below.

Let's Get Organized!

When you buy the jars they come with little stickers to label all of your spices.  I wanted them to look a little more cohesive and modern so I chose to create my own labels with this little label machine I got a few months ago.  It has come in handy way more than I thought it would!  It connects to an app NIMBOT that allows you to create designs for free straight from your phone and send it to the machine to print.

I love how portable and retro looking they are.  Multiple colors as well!

Once all of your labels are printed it is pretty self explanatory.  Label each of the jars and fill them with the corresponding spice!  The jar set comes with a nice silicone funnel making for the filling process a breeze.  Below you can see the simple design I came up with for my jars.

Next place your drawer organizers in.  I liked these because they are expandable to fit your exact drawer size.  The clear acrylic also is easily cleaned and lets you see if it gets nasty underneath!  I didn’t have a plan with placing them other than to place the most frequently used spices at the front in the first row.

This is such a quick and satisfying project that can help get your kitchen organized one drawer at a time!  If you love quick and easy projects, check out this one day bathroom upgrade I completed the made a huge impact!
